From the Artist: The commissioned portraiture work I do is a continuation of my investigation into the more traditional genres of portraiture. I am interested in the types of portraits that fix the subject at a particular age. 

My portraits are printed large in size, and made with a large format camera. Size changes perception; these maximized images engage the viewer with their rich texture and magnified detail and reveal each sitter’s awareness of being photographed. The result is a portrait, or series of portraits, that is simple in style, yet complex in its simplicity.
